Anuja Shandilya - Functional Medicine and Ayurveda

ANUJA SHANDILYA

A global pioneer at the intersection of Ayurveda, Functional Medicine, and soul-rooted care — trusted by women worldwide seeking deeper healing.

Anuja Shandilya was the first practitioner in the UK to formally bring together Ayurveda and Functional Medicine — and remains one of the few clinicians globally working at this rare intersection of ancient wisdom, scientific precision, and truly personalised care.

Two decades of clinical experience — rooted in wisdom, refined by science.

Her path began with a degree in Biomedical Sciences and Neuroscience from King’s College London. She went on to earn a first-class degree in Ayurvedic Studies, followed by further training in Nutritional Therapy (Distinction), Yoga Teacher Training, Plant-Based Culinary Medicine, and multiple certifications in Functional Medicine.

Anuja is a graduate of both the School of Applied Functional Medicine and Functional Medicine University. She was awarded the Flame of Knowledge by the Kharrazian Institute — one of only 41 practitioners globally. She has also studied Neuroscience at Cambridge University and is currently completing a Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy.

With over 20 years of clinical experience, Anuja has worked with thousands of women worldwide — particularly those navigating complex, chronic conditions like autoimmune illness, hormonal imbalance, burnout, and unresolved fatigue. Her own journey reversing alopecia through integrative medicine shapes both her insight and empathy.

She now leads a boutique private practice for women ready to uncover the deeper drivers of their health. Her approach integrates Ayurvedic diagnosis, functional testing, nutrition, bespoke herbal formulations, and emotional-spiritual insight — delivered with both clinical depth and soul-centred intelligence.

Clients come to Anuja after exhausting conventional paths. They are often health-literate, naturally minded, and ready for a new paradigm of care. Every protocol is bespoke. Every session is thoughtful. Every outcome is guided by the belief that true healing is not just physical — it is personal, karmic, and transformational.

Alongside her client work, Anuja curates a growing herbal apothecary, hand-blending non-alcoholic tinctures, teas, and powders using both traditional Ayurvedic and Western botanicals. She regularly teaches, mentors women in wellness, and continues to study — always evolving, always refining.

“I believe the body is always speaking. We just have to learn how to listen — with science, with spirit, and with soul.”
